Participants have the option to attend the Institute for two or three graduate credit hours.
For two graduate credit hours:

• Do all assigned readings.
• Attend all five class sessions. 
• Participate in all class activities. 
• Prepare a paper reflecting on class readings and other materials describing critically how they can potentially have an impact on your place of employment. 

For three graduate credit hours:

• Do all assigned readings.
• Attend all five class sessions. 
• Participate in all class activities. 
• Attend the entire 15th Annual Character Education Conference on July 9-10, 2009, at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis Riverfront hotel in St. Louis, Mo. Conference registration is the responsibility of the participant. 
• Write a paper critically analyzing Institute materials and presentations at the conference and how they apply to your place of employment.

Participants taking the Institute for credit will pay UMSL credit fees. Please call Continuing Education at (314) 516-5655 for fee information and credit course application.
